Privacy Policy
Privacy is important to us all, and Spring Group and its subsidiaries (referred to here as "Spring", "we" or "our") will always protect your personal information in line with the UK Data Protection Acts 1984 and 1998.
What personal information do we hold?
You give us personal information when you complete your profile and send us your CV:
- Name, postal address and email address
- Email address(es)
- Employment details
If we place you with one of our clients, we may also request further information and hold certain documents, for example:
- Bank details
- Paperwork relating to your right to work
- Employment references and history
- Future job preferences
Information about your bank and your right to work is only seen by a limited number of Spring employees.
Employment references and background information
We are an employment bureau and a member of the REC (the Recruitment and Employment Confederation), so we are entitled to obtain background information and request credit checks and other lawful checks if required by our clients. In some cases, we may outsource this to a third party.
Telephone calls
We may record and store any telephone calls you have with us for record keeping and quality control.
Internet protocol (IP) address
Your IP address is automatically stored and we may use cookies to save your password. This helps you when you re-enter the site.
What happens to my personal information?
Your personal information is stored in our database and is available to staff who provide a match and selection service for clients. They may search for:
- Availability
- Location
- Skills
- Experience
- Salary or fee requirements
Will you share my information with anyone else?
We may share information, including any sensitive personal data, with third parties who are interested in engaging your services through Spring. We may also need to send details about you outside of the EU, but we will only do this if you give us your consent.
What if I don’t want you to share information about me?
If you object to us sharing any information about you, please let us know by emailing us at privacypolicy@spring.com. However, if you object to your details being shared, then there is a possibility that your assignment or application may not proceed.
Who are our clients and how do we vet them?
Clients register for our services by email, telephone or in person. We vet prospective clients for creditworthiness, trading history and any other pertinent factors. Many of our clients are well-known names and existing clients of other Spring Group companies.
Can your clients access my personal information?
We never forward personal details to our clients without first discussing the client and the relevant opportunity with you. We will then ask for your consent before sending any information to them.
How secure is data held by us?
We use industry standard (or better) firewall technology to protect the information we hold in our databases. Paper-based information is only be seen by employees who need access to it and is securely stored at all times.
Your legal data protection rights
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you in return for a payment of £10. You also have the right to correct any inaccuracies in this information.
